A Shared Ambition
Long before Double 9, there was a determination to build something of our own.
Between careers, raising three children, and several business ventures, we’ve taken chances, changed direction, worked long hours, and learned plenty along the way.
We’ve always enjoyed the challenge of building something together. The independence, the decisions, and the occasional wrong turn have all been part of pursuing the freedom to choose our own path while making time for the people and experiences that give life meaning.
Double 9 wasn’t our first idea, but it has brought together more of what matters to us than anything we’ve pursued before—and given us an opportunity to create something others can enjoy, too.
The Turning Point
The Unexpected Nine.
Golf wasn’t originally the plan for all five of us.
Like many families, we’d spent years navigating different interests, activities, and schedules. When our son became interested in golf, we saw an opportunity to explore something new. What we didn’t expect was that our daughters would take to it, too.
Suddenly, we had something we could all enjoy together.
What drew us in wasn’t simply the game itself. It was everything that came with it: time outdoors, conversation, tradition, a little friendly competition, and the chance to slow down without sitting still.
We came to appreciate golf not just as a competitive sport where performance is expected, but as an activity where performance is possible. Everyone could participate at their own pace, improve on their own terms, and still be part of the same experience.
What began as another activity on the calendar became something we genuinely looked forward to.

Some of the best ideas arrive when you’re not looking for them. Double 9 was one of those. A name that brought together two things that had become part of our lives: the game of golf and the familiar tradition of dominoes around the family table.
Our families passed down more than recipes, stories, and a fondness for a spirited game of dominoes. They passed down an appreciation for hard work, hospitality, resilience, and making the most of time spent together. Golf brought another set of traditions into our lives, ones that felt familiar in their emphasis on respect, etiquette, and how we carry ourselves.

The name connected them naturally. And it gave us a place to begin building something distinctly our own.

We believe the best things in life are meant to be enjoyed, not saved for special occasions.
That philosophy shapes how we're building Double 9. Thoughtful design, exceptional materials, and an uncompromising attention to detail are the starting point. We want to create things that look considered, feel right, and hold their place in everyday life.
Though Double 9 began with golf, our interests have never stopped at the edge of the course.
We're drawn to the atmosphere surrounding the game as much as the game itself. The conversations that continue long after a round, the friendships formed along the way, the places worth returning to, and the traditions that make an ordinary afternoon memorable.
The character of South Florida, the warmth of Cuban hospitality, an appreciation for good design, and a belief that there's always something worth celebrating. These are the influences that shape Double 9.
We're still at the beginning of what we hope to build. But the direction is clear: a brand rooted in golf, inspired by the life around it, and made for people who appreciate both.
